Which model is suitable?

What the name composition is telling you

When you look at the various options, you will probably quickly notice the long names of the Kalkhoff e-bikes. For better orientation, we explain their composition here.

The first word is the name of the model, from which you can determine what kind of e-bike - mountain, trekking or city - it is. This is followed by a number. This number describes the platform level, which indicates in which class the e-bike is. The higher the platform level, the higher the class. Accordingly, platform level 7 is the new premium class and platform level 1 is the entry-level class.

The letter that follows the platform level describes the drive system. The most common letter here is B, which stands for Bosch. On some Kalkhoff bikes you will also find a G. This stands for the Groove Next system developed by Kalkhoff.

The letter is followed by the equipment level. Here are usually the designations EXCITE, ADVANCE, XXL or MOVE. EXCITE stands for exclusive equipment, ADVANCE for the good price-performance ratio, MOVE for versatile use and the XXL e-bike for the particularly resilient frame. The last two numbers describe the special equipment of the e-bike. The 45 here stands for the S-pedelecs, which support the bike at up to 45 km/h, and the PLUS+ offers more load capacity.
